Our online course covers a wide range of different mental health issues that can affect men. You'll learn about the signs, symptoms, and triggers of poor mental health, as well as the differences in how some mental health conditions present themselves in men and women.
Subject to eligibility, our course is fully funded for everybody living in the Tees Valley region, covering Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, and Stockton-on-Tees.
The course can be completed flexibly over the seven week duration of this course meaning it can be completed around work and home life commitments!

We have set an ambitious challenge that will make a significant impact on the lives of those living in the Tees Valley.
This November, we want to upskill individuals and work with the amazing employers in the Tees Valley region* to enrol 60 people per week onto our Level 2 Course in Understanding Men's Mental Health in aid of Men's Health Awareness Month.

The statistics paint a concerning picture. Since 2009, the number of men experiencing suicidal thoughts has doubled.
While there has been progress in men seeking therapy for their mental wellbeing, we must acknowledge that there is still a long journey ahead to ensure that men receive the support they need.

We have partnered with If U Care Share, a charity based in the North East, who play a vital role in supporting those bereaved by suicide. Their mission is to save lives, support communities and prevent suicide.
For every person who enrols onto our L2 Awareness of Men’s Mental Health Problems qualification, we will donate £10 from our Charity Foundation to If U Care Share*.
*Up to £3000
will pay for an information pack to be created and sent out to a bereaved family.
